"Downtime"

So here's something I almost never do... post WIPs. But, here's one. I do a lot of "pinup" stuff, but I really need to do more things that take place in a space with floors and walls and interactions. And I thought I'd give y'all a look at the process.

Also... I'm trying a little something different in my drawings of Mega Man characters with this one. The pinups against the blue backdrops will stay the same, but... I'm trying a few streamlining things with this that I will probably be doing with future pieces. Cutting down on extraneous lines, smoothing things out even more.

It began and ended with a word.
Not a particularly strong or powerful word, but a word that changed everything. It wasn't too long or difficult to spell. It wasn't uncommon either. In fact, it was a perfectly ordinary word, but, I suppose, its commonplace origin is what made it so special.
I loved that word.
But the word doesn't mean much without the story along with it and I was always one for telling good stories.
